Lungs and Airways
New CPR manikins are often delivered with lungs and airways and a set of spare ones. Lungs and airways make it possible to not only perform compressions but also rescue breaths. By blowing in air the manikins’ thorax will rise. As for hygiene, we suggest replacing the lungs after each participant.
In our wide range of products you can find lungs and airways for CPR manikins of Laerdal, Ambu and Brayden. It is important to select the right lungs and airways. Evidently, an infant-sized manikin needs different lungs than an adult one. Every brand has its own lungs and airways. Make use of the filter on the left to find the right product.

Laerdal Stackable Little Anne Lungs (6 pack)Manufacturer: LaerdalPack of 6 Laerdal Stackable Little Anne Lungs. The lungs allow a visible chest rise when resuscitation ventilation is provided to the manikin. Each lung includes a valve and ventilation patch. The lungs can be combined wit the Laerdal stackable little Anne filters that clear the exhaled air before it enters the lungs. This allows you to re-use the lungs for around 3 months, instead of the single use that we are used to with existing lungs. How often should you change manikin lungs?
Airways and lung bags are designed for single use only and should be discarded after each training session, especially when mouth-to-mouth ventilation has been performed. An exception to this is the manikin lungs used in the Laerdal Stackable Little Anne. These lungs can be used for about three months when combined with filters. The filters purify the air before it reaches the lungs, making these lungs reusable, unlike the typical manikin lungs that are intended for single use only.
